With great regret, Center Podium management, with the support of the NPC head office, has decided that traveling internationally to Russia poses an unnecessary risk due to the geopolitical crisis at the Ukraine-Russian border. Therefore, at this time, we are canceling all of the Center Podium NPC Worldwide Russia shows indefinity.
All of our NPC Worldwide judges travel from outside of Russia. Consulates from European countries are advising against travel to Russia. The United States has ranked travel to Russia at the highest threat level, “Level 4: Do Not Travel”.
The current political situation is unpredictable, making it impossible to plan a bodybuilding event across international borders.
By no means is the cancelation a political statement from Center Podium or the NPC; it is an action based on the information available to us by numerous consulates. Our organizations remain dedicated to supporting the sport of bodybuilding and all athletes worldwide.
We will be refunding all athletes who have already registered for the NPC Worldwide Russia Regional and the NPC Worldwide Tournament of St. Petersburg. Please allow approximately one week to see the credit applied to your bank accounts.
Moving forward, Center Podium will be focusing efforts on the NPC Worldwide INVICTUS Pro Qualifier scheduled for December 3, 2022, in Astana, Kazakhstan. We hope to see many of you at this event.
We will also continue to provide visa support to Russian athletes who wish to travel to the USA to compete in our NPC and IFBB Pro League Center Podium events.
Our hearts are with both the Russians and Ukrainian people. We hope for a swift and uneventful conclusion to this crisis.

I am pro or “elite” in another federation, can I compete in the IFBB Pro League?
Yes, but you have to give up your pro or “elite” status first.
Contact the IFBB Pro League office to rescind your status with the other organization and receive permission to compete in the NPC. You will not be automatically granted IFBB Pro League PRO status, you will have to earn IFBB Pro status. This is typically a much higher level of competition than any other league. After all, it is the only path to the Mr. Olympia!
Do I need to be a citizen in the counrty where the event takes place?
No, the NPC Worldwide events are open to competitors from every country in the world.
Do I need a visa to travel to Russia or Kazakhstan?
It depends on where you are a citizen. Russia has the most strict visa requirements. Kazakhstan do not require visas from Russia, and most of Europe and the West.
If you are American, YOU NEED A VISA in Russia but not Kazakhstan. You can use a third party to set up your visa. It is a little unnerving the first time as you must send your passport to the Russian Embassy via a third party. We have used the website www.rushmytravelvisa.com with much success. Be sure to begin the process at least 45 days prior to travel to avoid extra fees.
You can also request a visa directly from the Embassy to avoid fees, but this process can be a bit more difficult.
We recommend that you contact the embassy of the country to which you plan to travel to find out the latest visa requirements or possible travel restrictions.
